Super Hero Birthday Party!

Every child can be a superhero!  Especially on their birthday with their friends to help celebrate! A momstown Oakville mama shared with us her ideas to bring the Super Hero Birthday theme to life. These tips can be used to create a perfect Superman, Spiderman or Batman (or any superhero really) party. Perfect for your own Super Hero!

Crafts

Make a take home craft that makes every guest feel like a superhero! Buy inexpensive t-shirts, then cut out felt letters and make emblems for each child. Kids can use fabric glue (and adult help) to attach their emblems onto their shirts at the party - and wear them home!

Kids could also decorate their own capes with stickers, paint, and glitter glue!

Activities

Bring out the superhero toys and let kids act out their favourite stories.

Have a dress up station with as many superhero costumes as you can find (borrow some if you need to!).

Decorations

You can pick a favourite superhero character and his colours and design your decorations around that - or have a variety of different superheroes in the mix! Try making up a giant birthday banner prior to the party

Food & Cake

This cake looks professional - but made by a momstown mama! She says it was easy - use a square cake as the base, turn diagonally, and use smarties for the design!  

Loot Bags

If you make superhero shirts or capes - this will be a big part of the loot! Mini superhero figurines and stickers are always a hit. You might also look for easy reader superhero books - a great way to engage little superheroes in reading!
