Sticky Skeleton

Try our Sticky Skeleton craft for your youngster this Halloween - get your house all decked out in homemade Halloween decorations!

Description

This is a fun tie-in for a discussion about those questions about “how do my arms work?”, “what’s under my skin?" and all those lovely questions mamas get every day.

Skulls are in fashion these days too – we see them everywhere, on backpacks & t-shirts, so we might as well craft one!

My daughter  & I made this craft together. I cut our pieces of white construction paper and then we laid them out together, copying the a picture in a book and talking about how  our bones (a classmate had just broken his arm so that connected the chat).

After lay down the "bones", she rearranged them & glued them down.

For older children they may want to get more specific - so visualize your high school science class and get busy working!

What you need:

  • Black & white construction paper
  • Scissors & glue
  • An idea of what the skeleton will look like.

There is glow in the dark paint which would have been a fun adaptation to this craft as well. Alternatively, black paper with white chalk or white paint could be other mediums to create a similar skeleton.
