Handprint craft

Kids love Canada fun, fireworks and enjoying all the events of July 1st! Whether you're hosting your own party or going to a community celebration, we have decorations and wearable crafts that kids will love to make to show their Canadian pride this year. It's a great time to talk about the national flag, maple leafs and even what being Canadian is all about.

Making puffy paint at home is so easy and lots of fun for the kids! They especially love seeing their artwork puff up. Your children will love this craft. It's easy and you can make it with ingredients you may already have at home.

momstown Art and Play and Baby Basics are just a couple of our programs where moms and kids can get creative and make a keepsake handprint and footprint craft. We've collected our favourite crafts from each month and created a calendar featuring poems and handprints to celebrate the months of the year!

momstown moms and kids were reading their favourite Dr. Seuss books and creating crafts and yummy treats too! March is also Dr. Seuss' birthday!

We needed something special for the top of the tree, so we decided to make an angel together. Using handprints for wings and a toilet roll for the body, we created the perfect tree topper this year!

Such a sweet handprint chick craft - perfect for Easter or any baby animal curriculum or theme.

Let poetry inspire you this Father's Day! This year, I wanted to create a special gift for my husband that really reflects the relationship that he has with our son.

Do you attend a party on Canada Day? Every July 1st, our kids get new tshirts to wear to our annual fireworks event. We usually hit the mall and find a store that has the best prices on a shirt for this ONE day each year.... seems crazy to buy a shirt for one day, right? So, this year, we decided to make them instead!

This is a perfect project for kids who don't yet have the fine motor skills and patience to make our fingerprint cards yet. It also creates a wonderful keepsake.

We love nursery rhymes at momstown, especially ones about sheep (and there are tons)! Make a sheep using your child's handprint and some cotton balls.
