Valentine’s Day Bookmark for a Special Teacher

January 9, 2014momstownRecessNo comments
I was organizing my craft bins with the boys and they wanted to start making crafts for Valentine’s Day! What’s a mom to do, but create something fun with what we had on had. We used simple items from the bin to create a really cute Valentine’s Day “love” bookmark for Nana! We will make three more to put in a small plant to give to our special teachers on February 14th!

Materials:

large craft stick

adhesive foam letters

foam decorations

glue

construction paper or foam in red or pink

heart embellishments

glitter

Directions:

1.  Help your child cut out a heart from foam or construction paper.

2.  Decorate the heart with glitter, embellishments, stickers, whatever they like!

3.  Glue the back of the heart onto a large craft stick (tongue depressor) and let it dry.

4.  Decorate the stick with embellishments or adhesive foam letters to say "Love".

Gift Ideas:  Give this to a grandparent or teacher as a bookmark or put it into a bouquet of flowers or the soil of a plant to give to someone special!
