One of the most satisfying parts of reaching a milestone is looking back at the path you've taken. Call me a nostalgia junkie, but even the more serious, harrowing bits of the journey still make it into my fond flashbacks, though at our home we actually call my re-re-re-revisiting the past "post-mort."
Just before we set our eyes ahead and square up to take on 2015, here are some fun roundups of the Best of 2014 from our media partners and others:
First, books. Today's Parent walks us through the top 15 picture books of the year past, and just like that, my gift list and library list have been repopulated. But if you're already in "don't look back!" mode, perhaps this fledgling list of books they love for 2015 (They will keep adding to it as time passes) is more your speed. So long as the kids are reading, right?
