Paper Towel Roll Apple Tree

Digging through the recycling boxes for craft inspiration is a fun activity with kids. It helps to use their imagination and turn everyday items into masterpieces! Just think of all the fun you can have with paper tubes!

Description

 We made this apple tree craft using a paper towel roll.

Materials:

Empty paper towel roll
Paper Plate – the thinner the better
Green and brown paint
Glue
Red tissue paper

Directions:
1.  Paint the paper towel roll brown and the paper plate green.
2.  Cut the tissue paper in about 1.5 inch squares.  Crumple up the squares and glue to the green plate.
3.  Cut two slits in one end of the paper towel roll, and slide the paper plate into the slits.
