6 Cheap and Cheerful Water Play Activity Ideas
Here are some great tips on how to have fun playing with water!
Description
Kids seem to gravitate toward water - even when my oldest didn't like the bath much, he LOVED the sprinkler - and you don't need your own pool to enjoy water play every day.
Whether you're looking for playgroup activities or just a way to entertain kids this summer, momstown has 6 ways to make water play fun for all ages!
#1 - Hose fun!

Nothing says fun like the ability to spray water! My kids loved this from an early age. Get them to aim at the flowers and you might have a garden helper!
#2 - Trike or Car wash!

momstown loves "car wash" playdates! Just like Daddy washes the car, little ones can wash (or just spray) their vehicles too! I remember doing this as a kid and the shiny 'new' look my bike would get.
#3 Sprinkler fun!

Does this ever get old? Spend a few dollars on a sprinkler and let the kids get wet - whether they are toddling around or tearing around, it's a sure-fire hit for all ages.
#4 Splash pad playdate!

Hit your local splash pad and enjoy the fun of water spraying everywhere! Most have kid-friendly controls so a push by little fingers can turn the park into a water wonderland. No entry fee and a great way to get together with neighbourhood friends.
#5 Water table fun!

You can use a store-bought water table, or make your own with a plastic laundry tub or water bucket.
#6 Paint the fence!
Look out Tom Sawyer... it's kids armed with brooms and water! My boys loved 'painting' the fence with water (or the trees, or the patio) - it was a great way to keep them busy while I was trying to get a bit of gardening done. All you need are brushes or small brooms, and a bucket of water.
