January 11, 2014momstownRecessNo comments
Want to hava a pajama party? Of course you do! Pajamas are fun, right? Well, it’s pajama time at momstown this month so all month long at our events, we will be having fun with pajamas too! Since we love to encourage reading and a love of literacy at an early age, we have collected 5 great books all abou pajamas for kids of all ages!

Babies and Toddlers:

Llamas in pajamas by Teddy Slater

Written in rhyme, the llamas get on their pajamas and get ready for bed. Simple text takes the reader through the bedtime routine…until finally the llamas are fast asleep.

Toddlers & Preschoolers:

Lulu‘s Pajamas by Lucie Papineau

Lulu is a mouse who loves her pajamas so much, that she decides she‘ll wear them all day long. But she finds out that a busy day in her pajamas is not what she was expecting… cute illustrations.

Frog pajama party by Michael Dahl

Brandon the frog invites his friends to a pajama party down by the pond. They come prepared but there are a few interruptions! Cute story to go along with a pajama party.

All ages:

Pajama Time by Sandra Boynton

The moon is up, it‘s getting late, let‘s get ready to celebrate – it‘s PAJAMATIME!‘ this great Boynton story has the usual cast of characters, but this time they are getting ready for bed, and doing a pajama dance. Lots of fun for all ages, great to use the songs/actions during playgroup.

Llama llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney

Very cute story about a little llama going to bed. There is a little 'llama drama‘ that parents and children will be able to relate to (needing a drink, needing an extra hug, etc.) Written in rhyme with sweet illustrations.
