Our momstown chapters have been super busy lately embracing "The Big Cook" theory! Joining together with a group to prep and assemble (LARGE!) batches of recipes to freeze for dinner.
Read here about how momstown Toronto, momstown Burlington and momstown Edmonton have been chopping, slicing, mixing and prepping together.
Here's the recipe for one meal of Zippy Pork Chops. If you want to make a larger batch for your freezer, just double/triple the ingredients (the pictures is when we were making 8 meals of Zippy Pork Chops – that's a lot of chops!). The recipe is from The Big Cook book (Edmonton moms wrote it!) and we highly recommend!
Ingredients:
6 Pork Chops (Bone in, 1 inch thick)
1/4 cup Water
1/3 cup Soy Sauce
2 tbsp Oil (cooking)
2 tbsp Lemon pepper seasoning
3 Garlic cloves minced
1 tsp Montreal steak spice
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients and pour over pork chops.Let marinate for 2 hours.
2. BBQ chops & eat!
** To freeze, put everything in a freezer bag and freeze uncooked, then defrost & BBQ.
PS: One of our momstown salad recipes would be a great side with these flavourful pork chops!
