Vancouver Parents – Science World is Open

November 10, 2020momstownEducationNo comments

We’re open! Come explore.

Science World is now open and ready to ignite curiosity and wonder through our galleries and exhibits. Our teams have put thoughtful consideration into ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors and staff.

We look forward to your visit!

We ask that all visitors:

  • Wear a mask
Masks are mandatory for staff and visitors over the age of 6. We cannot offer exceptions at this time and are working to create inclusive online experiences for visitors who would like to enjoy Science World but are unable to wear masks.
  • Maintain a healthy distance
Did you know that 63 LEGO® Bricks from our feature exhibition equals 2 metres? That’s the physical distance visitors will need to keep from staff and other visitors. Hand sanitizer is provided upon entry, exit and throughout the building.
  • Treat visitors and staff with respect
Science World is committed to ensuring our facilities uphold anti-racist values that allow visitors to feel safe and welcomed. There will be no tolerance for any racism or discrimination (including microaggressions) towards staff or visitors.

Things to See

Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO® Bricks has been extended to January 2021!

Explore 20 of the world’s most astonishing skyscrapers, then create your own ‘tower of tomorrow’ in the hands-on construction area.

Body Works

The BodyWorks Gallery encourages discovery and curiosity. Test your skill by putting together a skeleton before the buzzer goes off! See if you can guide a sperm safely to an egg, or watch what happens to food as it travels through your body.

Puzzles and Illusions

Bend your mind and challenge your brain! Have loads of baffling fun in our illusions area, where nothing is as it seems. Over at the puzzle tables, you can test your smarts and skills by tackling dozens of fun, challenging puzzles and games. You’ll give your brain an exhilarating workout!

Temporarily Closed Spaces

Please note that Wonder Gallery and OMNIMAX® Theatre are currently closed. We look forward to reopening both in the near future! Our Live Shows are still available for your enjoyment at the Science Theatre and Peter Brown Family Centre Stage.
