easter basket craft

Using a few simple materials, your child can create this Easter basket craft with lots of texture and colour!

Materials:

  • Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Pipe cleaner

Directions:

Start by decorating Easter eggs – these were paint-stamped on and decorated with markers. Decorate enough to 'fill' a basket!

Cut strips of brown construction paper into skinny rectangles, and glue them on in layers to create the texture of the woven 'basket' – no matter which way they're glued on, they will look great!

Put the eggs in the basket by gluing them on top, and finish it off with a pipe cleaner handle.

Great cutting practice and lots of creativity in this simple craft!

bunny basket craft

Or try this cute as a bunny basket idea – it's a manilla envelope cut halfway, with 'ears'.

Materials:

  • manila envelope
  • markers
  • glue
  • easter grass
  • foam easter eggs (or anything you want to put in!)
  • pink construction paper (for ear middles)

Directions:

Add pink middles to the ears and glue the ears together like a handle.

Decorate the outside of the envelope with markers, and add easter grass and foam easter eggs!
