Trophy for the Best Teacher

June 25, 2011momstownRecessNo comments
A quick adapt of a Father’s Day craft brought home from school gave us at momstown inspiration for an end of year Teacher gift!

Materials:

  • Plastic short wineglass
  • Aluminum foil
  • Tape
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Construction paper
  • Marker
  • Scissors

Directions:

Cover the plastic wineglass with aluminum foil. Your child can do a lot of this work but you might need to help tape the foil inside to hold is securely. Use pipe cleaners to form the 'arms' of the trophy – cover these with aluminum foil too and secure inside the cup and at the bottom (this step is optional – if your kids are younger you might just stick with the 'cup' part).

teacher trophy craft

Cut out a trophy label from construction paper and have children write (or help write) #1 Teacher – or whatever they would like! You could also use sticky foamy letters for this part. Tape to the front of the trophy. On the back of the trophy you can write your child's name – we used a sticky mailing label to 'sign' the trophy.
