The Gift Giver Guide

December 11, 2016momstownParenting7 comments

It is very easy for me to shop for my kid’s holiday gifts. I’m around them everyday and know what they want – mostly because I make them write a wish list to ‘Santa’. But finding gifts for other members of my family is another story. So I’ve put together some great gift ideas for you – so you can spend more time sipping hot chocolate and less time searching the internet.

THE NEW MOM

sweetdreamz

The Cloud B Sweet Dreamz On The Go plays 4 lullabies, 4 soothing sounds, including “shhh” and Mother’s heartbeat.  It has a soft amber nightlight and a sound sensor that reactivates when baby wakes. Plus, it easily attaches to strollers and car seats so you can take it from crib to on-the-go. Retails for $24.99 and available online or gift/baby stores across Canada.

THE NEW BIG KID

cham

This Cloud B Charley The Chameleon is perfect for the new big kid. This plush body pillow is the perfect companion for kids that are transitioning from crib to their own big bed! It glows in a rainbow of colours, is ultra soft, and sings a variety of soothing Rainforest and Tropical tunes.  The cuddly companion helps little one’s transition from playtime to sleep time with scales that light up to ease fear of the dark and soothing sounds that help make every kid feel safer at night. Plus, Charley auto shuts off after 45 minutes, so batteries will not be wasted away!  Retails for $39.99. It’s available online or gift/baby stores across Canada. You can buy these products guilt- free as a percentage of sales are donated to the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada.

For kids a little big older, no more cliché Barbie or Tonka Trucks – instead you can get gifts that introduce them to robotics with Hexbug products. HEXBUG was designed to give children a positive experience with robotics at a young age.

I would like to win the Cloud B Charley The Chameleon because it is a unique animal and very cute. I would also like to win the HEXBUG Cuddlebots. I think my baby would think they are hilarious, and would be fun watching her chase them on the floor.

What great gift ideas! Well I would love to win the cloud b charley the chameleon and the Hexbug habitat simply because before reading this I didn’t know about them. My children do not have these toys and I would love to check them out 🙂

  • Jan

The Hexbugs and Cloud B Charley as I know two kids that would love them.

  • Chloe Bennett

These are awesome prizes! I’d love to win the Cloud B Charley The Chameleon for my 1 1/2 year old. She doesn’t sleep well and has nightmares every night. I’m up trying to calm her down at least 4-5 time per night lately. I would also love the HEXBUGS nano Nitro Habitat Set for my 3 year old who has Sensory Processing Disorder and very delayed fine and gross motor skills. I think this toy would be another great tool to help her with her fine motor development while working with our OT. I really want her to be ready for JK in the fall!

Congrats Chloe! You’re the momstown winner. WE will be contacting you today.

  • Lisa K Hansen

I’d love to win the HEXBUG nano Nitro Habitat Set and the HEXBUG Cuddlebots because my son would love playing with them. He likes building things and the habitat set would be perfect for him to set up a track for his Nano Nitros. The Cuddlebots are super cute and in addition to my son watching them scuttle around, our dog would likely be very interested in them.
