Thanksgiving Dinner in a slow cooker

September 6, 2013momstownRecessNo comments
Don’t you love the home cooked smell from a slow cooked dinner simmering away all day? How about a dinner that reminds you of Thanksgiving? Maybe you have some leftover turkey that you can use? Try to make Thanksgiving dinner in a slow cooker!

Description:

Our recipe was suggested by a momstown Burlington mom who swears this is divine and who makes it part of her regular dinner rotation. She got the idea here and we had to share it with you.

Ingredients:

bag frozen veggies (peas, corn, carrots)

2-4 frozen chicken breasts  (I bet a turkey breast would be awesome here too!)

1 can cream of chicken soup

box of packaged stuffing

Directions:

1.  Layer all in the crockpot as listed: veggies on the bottom, chicken next, soup third and PREPPED stuffing tops it off.

2.  Turn on the slow cooker and cook all day 6-8 hours on low.

3.  Enjoy the aroma and plan on pumpkin pie for dessert to make it REALLY feel like Thanksgiving!

Thanks to Smashed Peas and Carrots for the recipe inspiration!
