Royal Wedding Imaginary Play & Crafts

February 27, 2013momstownRecessNo comments
It’s not just William and Kate, or perhaps Harry if he settles down, royal weddings have long been the stuff of fairy tales and Disney films, so what better way to bring some imaginative play into your home than pretend royal wedding festivities?

A royal wedding is a little girls dream! A beautiful princess marrying a handsome prince-soon-to-be-King. momstown mamas know life is not all perfect and princess-like… but every once in awhile it's fun to pretend that every one lives a fairytale and princesses are perfect!

Let your princess wear her dress-up clothes to school, to put doilies out at mealtime and call dinner "tea".  Wear crowns (handmade!), don layers of jewels (fake!) and drink juice in tea cups with your pinky finger up. When you're done playing inside, head out to the 'back garden' to pick some dandylions for a perfect princess bride bouquet! Maybe even pull out your dress from the back of the closet for a fashion show!

Need some creative ideas to bring all this royal fun to life? We can help!

Try our Wonderland Crowns made out of a paper plate to ensure everyone has the proper royal attire.

Have some construction paper? Create this Sparkly Crown for every royal member of your family and wear them to the table!

To complete your fun, hold a tea party (pull out your fine china if you dare or use the play kitchen cups and load up on lacy doilies!) and serve mini sandwiches and scones – a standard at our momstown tea parties!
