Recycled Rainbow Easter Basket

March 19, 2014momstownRecessNo comments
We love to use recycled craft supplies whenever we can, so we grabbed a plastic cup and some popsicle sticks to make this colourful rainbow Easter basket!

Materials:

large plastic cup (white or spring colour works best)

coloured popsicle sticks (or you can paint them with your child)

pipe cleaner

Easter grass

glue gun

single hole punch

Easter treats to put inside

Directions:

1.  Glue popsicle sticks around the outside of your plastic cup.  Be sure to leave a quarter of an inch at the top for the handles.

2.  Punch 2 holes on opposite sides of the cup, for the handle.

3.  Using a pipecleaner in an Easter colour, loop it through the side holes and attach ends to the cup to make the basket "handle".

4.  Place some Easter grass inside your cup and use for your Easter Egg Hunt, give to friends and family with chocolate treats or even use as a decoration!
