Paper Plate Snowman

Cheerful, easy and fast, making these paper-plate snowmen proved the perfect confidence-building activity for a mom who’s afraid of crafts

By Sonia Verma

It's no secret I'm scared of crafts. But with a very publicly shared new year's resolve to face that fear, I lucked out. Gina Bell's cheerful paper-plate snowman garland from our media partner CBC Parents seemed fun, and not terribly daunting. I showed the picture to my 4-year-old crafting mentor, and she agreed I could handle it.

Our results were nowhere near as polished as Ms. Bell's on CBC Parents. We'll say it's because our plates were too big. The important thing is we had a ton of fun doing this, and are going to make a few more so we can turn them into a garland.

Are you scared of crafts? Try this one. It's easy and will fill you with confidence.
