We’re bringing you closer to the holidays with our Favourite Cookies: 5 days of cookie recipes that will satisfy and impress all December long. We kick off our holiday favourites with a fun recipe we found on Pillsbury.com. These lollipop sugar cookies are sure to bring a smile to any child or grown-up.
I’m not an expert baker to say the least so when I saw this recipe on the Pillsbury website and noticed how few ingredients were required, I rolled up my sleeves and got cracking on my holiday baking right away.
These holiday-inspired lollipop sugar cookies are SO CUTE and are perfect to bake for a gift, cookie exchange or even as a special little treat for Santa. I love how they turned out and how easy they were to make. I think I’ll be making cookies in lollipop form all year round for different occasions.
Hope you enjoy these as much as my family did! My little helpers had a ton of fun mixing the food colouring in the cookie dough and adding the sprinkles and decorations.
…..And of course, they enjoyed munching on the cookies too (paired with a glass of milk to boot!)
Christmas Lollipop Sugar Cookies
Makes 12 cookies
Prep time: 60 mins
*When working with the dough, always keep it cold so it stays relatively hard and easy to work with! If it starts melting from the heat of the kitchen or your hands, just keep popping it into the freezer for a few minutes and keep going)
* Depending on how large your baking pan is, make sure you leave enough room for the sticks. I placed 4 cookies on each pan to avoid the dough from spreading and overlapping too much.
