Everyone knows Old MacDonald!! This is a perfect theme for a first or second birthday as your child is learning their animals or for any child who wishes he had a tractor or chickens in the backyard! Your child can be a farmer for a day at his or her own farm-themed birthday party!
Keep little hands busy with some animal-themed crafts!
Make a sheep with cotton balls, construction paper, and glue! Easy for even the youngest guests.
Turn a water bottle into a pig on the farm!
Or create baby chicks from construction paper and your guest’s handprints! When all the crafts are done stick them to your walls to add to the farm decor.
Have the kids put on a farm puppet show! The older guests can entertain the young ones, and grownups can get involved too!
Set up your farm toys and let little ones explore and use their imaginations!
Grab an animal-themed tablecloth (like this cow inspired one!) and add a centrepiece using farm toys and a tractor!
Food & Cake:
Andrew’s farm was built for this party! Wooden animals and a tractor helped to decorate the cake, and served as toys for the birthday boy to be played with later!
(We made this barn out of graham crackers & icing like a mini gingerbread house). Want to learn how to make the cake & animal cupcakes (featured on the top)? That was made by our momstown winner of our 2010 Birthday Cake Contest, all details can be found here!
