My Teacher Rocks

June 27, 2011momstownRecessNo comments
End of a school year – and time to tell your child’s teacher how much you’ve appreciated him or her! How about my teacher ROCKS – using rocks!

Materials:

  • Tray (we used a rotisserie dish) strong enough to hold rocks!
  • Small pebble rocks
  • Glue
  • Construction paper and marker to write teacher name

Directions:

1.  Write the teacher's name on construction paper and glue to the top of the tray.

2.  Using glue, write "ROCKS" below it, and have your child place pebbles along the glue.

Great fine motor practice that the teacher will appreciate too! momstown has more ideas for teacher gifts – check our other teacher's gift ideas.

Thanks to momstown Barrie for the inspiration!
