momstown Milton had a great Valentines’ party one year that turned out some really cute Valentine men!

What you need:

  • Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Glitter glue
  • Pipe cleaner

Show your child how to make hearts by folding paper in half, tracing half a heart, then cutting along the line. They will be amazed to see the symmetry they create!

Have them cut out one large heart for the body, and four smaller hearts for Mr. Valentine's hands and feet.

Cut strips of paper for the legs and arms. Have children gold them, accordion-style, to make them more three-dimensional and fun.

Add details like eyes, nose, and mouth using glitter glue, hearts, and pipe cleaner. You've got a funny little Valentine man!
