We’ve eaten the last of the burgers and the pool is officially closed. The early morning rush, and everything leading up to it and all that follows, has become the new norm. Hectic after school schedules have replaced those endless summer days and it’ll be three full seasons before we can put on our flip flops again.
I admit it, I don’t like saying goodbye to summer. I really love hosting barbecues and spending time at the beach and pool with the kids. I love feeling the warm air every day when I step outside. And I appreciate getting to sip my coffee on a lounger surrounded by cheerful, chirping birds and sweet smelling flowers.
Summer makes me happy and is, in my opinion, the best time of year to be Canadian.
But I can’t just come to life for four months of the year, right? We live in Canada, after all, and the changing seasons are part of the deal. So, in order to get myself excited about the fall and winter months, I’ve made a list of things to help me embrace the upcoming seasons!
