Your body is constantly changing but one thing remains the same- you’re fabulous! Even though you know your body better than anyone else, there are guidelines to help you on your way to being your best self. Here are a few of the important ones:

 

See your Doctor. Regularly!

As a Fabulous Mature Woman, you’ll need to be in the loop, especially when it comes to your personal health. Check in with your doctor and schedule your regular check-ups, mammograms and cervical tests. – come what may.  A Fabulous Mature Woman keeps on top of things to the very best of her ability.

 

Eat for the heart

Did you know that the leading women’s illness is still heart disease? As mothers, sisters and daughters, we know how to use our heart. So now it’s time to love it back through a healthy omega 3 hearty diet. Believe it or not,  gum disease and inflammation are related to heart health… so it’s a good idea to eat bacteria-fighting foods like yogurt and raisins. Bon appetit!

 

Make time for exercise

Although your schedule is filled with work events, family commitments, appointments and whatever life throws at you, the Fabulous Mature Woman must make time for exercise. Your exercise doesn’t have to be lengthy or strenuous – just enough to maintain an active lifestyle. It will help you relieve stress, condition your body and release those endorphins! Your body will thank you for it.

 

Make time for you

Your emotional health is just as important as physical health. Taking the time to satisfy a new or longstanding passion is food for the soul. There’s every reason to move guitar lessons or art class  from the “wish” list to the “priority” list- regardless of your weekly To Do’s.  Like in  childhood, you need to learn, create and develop new skills. The beauty this time around is that YOU choose to practise what you want! Don’t suffer from burn out- it’s all about a healthy life balance.
