Ways to make fruits and vegetables more fun is proven way to get kids to eat more! Our momstown Milton chapter hosted a Junior Chef program monthly to incorporate cooking into their activities.
Fruit Kabobs are fun to make and really easy to prep. If you have older kids, they can be included in the fruit washing and cutting while being supervised. Toddlers can be involved in the spearing the fruit onto the kabobs and in decorating.
Fruit cut up into cubes or small bite-size fruit like: melon, grapes, strawberries, banana chunks, blueberries and apples.
Thin wooden skewers can be picked up at the dollar stores or if these are too long, toothpicks can make mini kabobs. momstown made their kabobs super fancy by decorating in shredded coconut and dipping in yougurt or creamy caramel or chocolate dip.
Don’t be surprised when all the fruit is gobbled up!
