Join CAA in finding the Worst Roads in Ontario

March 23, 2014momstownReal LifeNo comments
What’s your driving pet peeve? Is it potholes, poorly timed traffic lights, road congestion or unsafe conditions when you drive or walk your kids to school?

CAA is looking for your feedback on conditions that impact your ability to drive, bike or walk safely around the streets of Ontario.  Now you can have your voice heard during the CAA Worst Roads campaign running March 25th to April 25th.  Over the years, thousands of Ontarians have voted and approximately 90 per cent of the roads on CAA's Worst Roads list have been, or are scheduled to be, repaired.  You voice matters…vote here starting March 25th.

To start the conversation, join momstown and CAA South Central Ontario  for a Twitter chat about Ontario’s Worst Roads on March 26th at 9pmEST for your chance to win 1 of 5 $50 Petro-Canada Gift Cards™ or the Grand Prize 16GB iPad Mini. No RSVP required, just follow the hashtag #ONWorstRoads.

More about Ontario’s Worst Roads:

The Cost to YOU
Did you also know that Ontarians pay back 70-90 % of all of the costs of the road network (repairs and maintenance) through various taxes amounting to $7.7B a year?  And the costs don’t end there.  For some drivers, poorly maintained roads and inadequate infrastructure come with a hefty price tag. Damage to your vehicle could mean costly repairs from $100-$3000!

What can YOU do?
CAA is leading the charge to make the current and future state of Ontario’s road infrastructure a provincial election issue.  They are asking the Government of Ontario to commit to a permanent funding structure to improve Ontario's roads and highways and to keep making maintenance of road and highway infrastructure a top priority.  By voting for YOUR pick for the Worst Road, you can lend your support and help make a difference for all drivers!
