How to paint pumpkins with potatoes!

October 26, 2014momstownRecessNo comments
Pumpkins are everywhere as fall kicks in – why not paint some pumpkins of your own with your kids?

Materials:

Construction paper

Potatoes cut in half

Green foam (either sticky-backed or glue on)

Scissors

Orange paint

Directions:

1.  Cut potatoes in half and use them as stamps.

2.  Dip into orange paint and stamp onto white paper to make pumpkins!

3.  Stamp away as many pumpkins as you want.

4.  Have kids cut out small green triangles and glue on to make stems. You have a colourful pumpkin stamping to hang up this fall!

This is a great painting activity for toddlers too and helps kids practice scissors skills. Find other great Halloween crafts here!
