How to make a Toilet Paper Mummy craft

Want to make your own Halloween monster craft? All you need are 4 household items and a few minutes for your child to make their own Mummy!

What you need:

  • Washed empty can with no sharp edges (coffee can is great)
  • Roll of toilet paper
  • Tape
  • Marker

Tape one end of the toilet paper to the can. Then roll. And wind. And Roll. And Wind!

Your child might get excited and rip the paper which is fine, just tape a new end and keep going. A messy Mummy is even better – he will look more spooky!

If you use an open can your child can store their candy in it (Ask the Mummy!) or it could hold pencils on their art desk or even a scary plant or spooky stick display. If you choose to use a non-open container then the Mummy can be a decoration on your mantle.

It would take no time to make a bunch of Mummies to decorate your Halloween home!

You can find an alternative but similar mummy craft with gauze and pipecleaners also here. The more mummies the merrier!
