How to Make a Sparkly Crown for your Princess

October 23, 2013momstownRecessNo comments
Everyone loves to feel special and doesn’t every child feel more special in a sparkly crown??? Easy to make your own (or a batch!).

how to make a princess crown
Materials:
Long strip of flexible cardboard about 2 inches wide (enough to circle around a childs head) – a cereal box would be perfect.
Construction paper (colour choice of the child)
Glue
Scissors
Glitter
Gems
Glitter Glue

Directions:
Size the cardboard strip to the child's head

Draw a crown shape and Cut out from the construction paper

Let the child decorate with all the materials and let dry.

Attach the crown to the cardboard ring with staples and then measure the ring around child's head and attach/staple to their size.

There you have one fancy party crown!

Tip! Use a food tray under the craft when working with glitter for easier clean up. Keeps gems & other beauties from rolling away. Thanks to Leanne & Hanna from momstown Guelph for this fun crown made to prep for our Hats theme this month.
