How to make a 3D spider and web craft

This is a sticky fun craft and a great way to make a 3D spider in its web for Halloween!

What you need:

  • construction paper
  • yarn, string or embroidery thread
  • glue (lots) & scissors
  • pompoms & pipecleaners

Precut the string into manageable lengths for young fingers to dip/drag through some glue. (try pouring the glue onto a paper plate to make this easier).spider craft

Place the sticky, gluey string on a piece of construction paper to make a spider’s web. This will take a little while while your mini artiste places the string in just the right places.

Next, make some spiders to sit in their web! Glue a pom pom onto the page/web for their head/body. Cut pipe cleaners for legs. Fold one end (to make an L shape) and dip the short flat part in glue and tuck under/beside the head. This will make the spider seem sort of 3D as it jumps off the page.

Let it dry and enjoy! When this picture is hung the spiders will pop off the page and look very 3D-like!
