Homemade DAD frame

June 12, 2012momstownRecessNo comments
This Father’s Day, rather than hitting up your local gift shop and buying a ‘Father’ frame; why not make your own DAD frame with your children! This frame is full of cuteness, meaning and a huge hit for DAD on his special day.

Materials:

Camera

Patience (this for the photographer snapping the photos ;)…)

A 5×7 frame with 3 slots for photo inserts

Letter A and D (I purchased wooden letters from Michaels. You could also go more frugal and make letter cut-outs from construction paper)

Directions:

1.  There is no right way to go about making this frame. Dress your child(ren) in their cutest attire, pass off each letter one at a time and snap away. The photos may not turn out perfectly, but what matters is the fun you have while capturing these special shots. You may find that you have to take each picture at different points in the day or different locations. That’s fine! Not being matchy-matchy is okay!!

2.  Once you’ve snapped your pictures, you can either print them at home using photo paper or visit your local 1-hr photo shop and have them printed there. Once printed arrange in the frame and you’re good to go.

Just remember to have fun with it. After all, Dad will just love this thoughtful gift and you'll have captured a great moment in time.
