Handprint Easter spring chick craft

July 25, 2013momstownRecessNo comments
Such a sweet handprint chick craft – perfect for Easter or any baby animal curriculum or theme.

Celebrate Spring with this cute little handprint chick craft! momstown  made these adorable chicks at their Easter celebration, but you can enjoy these all year long.

Materials to make this cute little chick:

  • Yellow and orange construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pencil
  • Googly eyes

Directions:

Trace the child's hands and cut out of yellow paper. These will be the chick's wings. Cut out a large oval for the chick's body from yellow paper; cut out feet and beak from orange paper.

Have child glue on the parts to make the chick, then add googly eyes as a finishing touch! Makes a great keepsake for remembering their hand size this spring!

Here's a cute song about baby animals to sing with your children:

I Like Baby Animals – Tune "London Bridge"
I like baby animals,
Animals, animals.
I like baby animals,
I'll name some for you.
Kittens, puppies, chicks and foals,
Chicks and foals, chicks and foals.
Kittens, puppies, chicks and foals,
I can name some more.
Goslings, ducklings, lambs and calves,
Lambs and calves, lambs and calves.
Goslings, ducklings, lambs and calves,
I like baby animals.
