I’m not sure what I’d do if I didn’t see these show up on a holiday platter. My kids now enjoy making these cookies with Grandma and I know yours will love baking them with you. Enjoy!
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sifted icing sugar
2 cup all-purpose flour
Decorating trims like chocolate chips, nuts, sprinkles, cherries…
Using a mixer, cream butter and icing sugar.
Blend in flour gradually, mixing until smooth.
Wrap in plastic and chill if soft (or make ahead, wrap in fridge until ready to roll)
Preheat oven to 300F
Roll out onto a floured surface until ¼ inch thick and cut with floured cookie cutters. Arrange on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake about 15 minutes until set but not brown. Not that we expect you to have leftovers, but they freeze really well.
