Use loose tea to make a dumptruck that looks like it has real dirt! Even better, the letter 'D' is the dump bed!
This craft is great for toddlers and preschoolers – they can practice gluing, cutting, shape and letter identification, and get a bit messy too!
Supplies:
We assembled most of the dump truck parts on construction paper (glued on) and then got busy creating the dirt!
Cover the 'D' with glue, and then spoon loose tea (cut open bags) on top. When it's finished you can glue it onto the top of the truck.
This would work well for an outdoor playgroup – and you could use different types of 'dirt' – like dried beans, or coffee grounds.
momstown has lots of construction crafts, activities, and books to inspire those who love things that move!
Digger Art – this activity goes along well with D for dumptruck, once you've got the 'dirt' on hand!
Egg carton dumptrucks – a fun way to recycle those egg cartons!
Construction books – might just be the thing to inspire a love of reading!
