Enjoying a pasta meal is the perfect way to celebrate Italian Heritage Month in June in Ontario and British Columbia. This fun recipe is sure to be a hit with the kids!

If you’re looking to create a quick and delicious pasta dish to celebrate Italian Heritage Month with your family, try Barilla Macaroni Pasta Salad with Cherry Tomatoes, Fresh Mozzarella and Basil! 

 

Ingredients:

Cut Macaroni 1 box
Extra virgin olive oil  6 tablespoons
Lemon juice  2 tablespoons
Cherry tomatoes halved  2 pints
Fresh mozarella diced  2 balls
Basil chiffonade  6 leaves
Salt  to taste
Black pepper  to taste

 

Directions:

1.  Bring a large pot of water to a boil, season with salt and cook pasta 1 minute under required cooking time.

2.  Drain and toss with 1 tablespoon olive oil and place on a sheet tray to cool down.

3.  Combine all the ingredients together and gently toss them.

4.  Season with salt and pepper to taste.
