Can you believe it? Back to school is just around the corner and that also means early mornings with breakfast, lunch and snacks to pack. Whether you’re looking for something to put in your back pocket for when the meal-time boredom falls upon you, have a picky eater and you need to be creative, or if you simply just want to give your kid some variety this is a great place to start!

Easy school lunches that your kids will love

Easy no bake energy balls – Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and sometimes sitting down to eat in the morning isn’t an option or a preference. These are a quick and delicious option this is also packed full of protein.

Fluffy French Toast Muffins – All the delicious French Toast taste without the French Toast work. A breakfast muffin that your kids will love and will beg you to make all the time.

Easy-to-freeze Breakfast Burritos – Make a whole batch of these ahead of time and all it takes in the morning is a quick minute in the microwave. Perfect for an on the go breakfast that’s full of protein.

Apple Sandwiches – Fun to make and eat plus the added bonus getting you kids to eat fruit! Get everything ready and let them take control of how they want to make them.

4 Cheese Pepperoni Pizza Bites – What kids doesn’t love pizza? Pair these delicious pizza bites with a container of pizza sauce and your kids are set!  The great thing about these is that they are the perfect for making in big batches ahead of time, pop them in the freezer and then just pull a couple out at a time.

Baked Sloppy Joes – All that Sloppy Joe goodness without the mess (and a good way to sneak in some pureed veggies!). A win-win that’s for sure and of course the perfect lunch box addition.

Savory Ham & Cheese Pinwheel – The great thing about using wraps as an alternative to bread is that there are different flavors, making this sandwich alternative a delicious lunch option, a little bit lights, and you’re not sacrificing the most important parts, the meat, and the cheese.

Make Ahead Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich – If you’ve got a PB&J lover on your hands (and the school isn’t nut free) this is a great time saver that will make this lunch time favourite on hand all the time. For added fun, grab some cookie cutters and make them into fun shapes.

Grape Juice Fruit Leather – Made with simple ingredients, and only 15 minutes of actual hands-on work (plus the time in the oven) is what it takes to make these and they look delicious. Perfect for snack time too!

Lunchbox Kabobs – The great thing about Kabobs is that you can put whatever combinations you want together and it’s also a perfect way to put all of the food groups together!

Healthy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip No Bake Bars – All you need are 6 ingredients and you’re on your way to making this easy and yummy lunch box snack. Even better it’s the perfect amount of sweetness without added sugar.

Easy Cranberry Chicken Salad – Have a kid isn’t a fan of the typical sandwich combinations? This is one to definitely try out. Packed with protein and the added cranberries make it the perfect amount of sweetness.

Copy Cat Cheez-Its – It’s no secret that crackers are a staple for most kids, which means you probably go through a lot. This is a great cheesy cracker recipe, that is not only delicious but also a little bit easier on the wallet.
